New Employee Procedures Useful Information
Welcome to the Boston Pizza Team! As a new hire, you need to follow the 5 steps below:

Step 1 complete the following form and bring them in for your first shift You will require a bank account for your payroll deposits. If you do not have a bank account we recommend you contact the Royal Bank in Uxbridge. Click here for a Welcome Letter.

Step 2 Please read, sign and return just the acknowledgements on the last page for the following Policies and bring them for your first shift. If you are a minor, please have a parent complete the following and bring it in for your first shift Step 3 Before your first shift, please ensure you have completed your FUNdamentals Pre Reading and completed all the Orientation quizzes on the BP Learning website. Your userid and password is on your Conditional Offer of Employment.

You can go ahead and do more quizzes, if you want.

Don't forget to click on "Check for New Courses" on the Quizzes page, otherwise you will not get any quizzes.

Step 4 - Server/Lounge Server/Bartender/Service Supervisor All servers, both Dining Room and Lounge, require to have Smartserv certification. You will need to provide a photocopy of your Smartserv Certificate. If you do not have a Smartserv Certificate, You can get it online from: *You will have 30 days from your first shift to get SmartServ Certified.

Step 4 - Cooks & Kitchen Supervisor All Cooks and Kitchen Supervisors will require their Food Safety certification. You will need to provide a photocopy of your Food Safety Certificate. If you do not have a Food Safety Certificate, You can get trained online and write the Food Safety test at Durham Region Offices. Or you can take a one day course with Durham Region: *You will have 30 days from your first shift to get Food Safety Certified.

Step 4 - Delivery Drivers All delivery drivers will be required to provide a drivers abstract. A drivers abstract can be obtained from a Services Ontario location or online.

Step 4 - Supervisors All Supervisors, in addition, will require their First Aid certificate. You will need to provide a photocopy of your valid First Aid Certificate with CPR/AED Level C or higher. If you do not have First Aid, you can acquire the training through many agencies, the following is only a recommendation: *You will have 30 days from your first shift to get First Aid Certified.

It is important that you complete steps 1 to 3 before your first shift, failing to complete these steps will result in you being sent home and your Offer of Employment may be withdrawn.

Step 5 - Menu Please familiarize your self with the menu you were given.
